What is Scenarios™?
WisdomTools Scenarios™ are customized, downloadable learning tools that leverage the power of stories to teach content in context. Each Scenario™ starts with a story -- your story.
How does story development work?
A WisdomTools instructional designer and scriptwriter will meet and work with your team to develop a story that captures the culture of your organization, emphasizes the best practices that you want to encourage, incorporates all of your best existing resources -- and does it all using the power of an engaging story that helps learners to understand the "why"-- not just the "what".
Who uses Scenarios™?
The WisdomTools Scenarios™ team has created a proven set of Scenario™ development processes over the past ten years in over 125 projects, with a variety of government, corporate, and educational organizations including the Department of Education, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Indiana University, and more.
Does Scenarios™ include testing or learner activities?
Activities and tools within Scenarios™ include: point-of-view debates, surveys, computer-facilitated practices, mix and match activities, sequencing, quizzes and much more. In addition to the story, learners draw on embedded resources such as videos, flash treatments, microgames (see below) and simulations to enrich understanding, support their ideas in discussions, and increase knowledge retention.
The Future of Scenarios: Scenarios 7™
Scenarios is being updated to allow for increased collaboration and provide more just in time information throughout a course. Some new features of Scenarios 7™ include:
- Activity dashboard to provide learner updates on course activity while off-line.
- More robust activity types and interaction.
- Asynchronous discussion with RSS and email notification for offline participants.

eScenes™
What are eScenes?
WisdomTools eScenes™ are customized learning and communication tools that can complement Scenarios™ or stand alone.
Each eScene™ is 2-6 minutes long and is similar to a Scenario™ in much the same way that a trailer is similar to a movie.
What are eScenes™ for?
eScenes™ are designed to provide information or motivate interest quickly, and they make an excellent introduction to a group discussion activity.
Can eScenes™ provide deeper learning?
eScenes™ can include online discussion forums, in-depth resources, or any other electronic asset, accessible at the click of a button.
